Kayo Booking Terms – Short Version

These short booking terms apply when you book a service with Streamline Power Solutions Ltd trading as Kayo. They should be read together with our full Customer Terms and Conditions.

By confirming a booking, you agree that:

  1. Your contract is with Streamline Power Solutions Ltd trading as Kayo, not with the individual engineer or contractor attending.
  2. Kayo may use employees, self-employed engineers, subcontractors or approved contractors to carry out the work.
  3. You must provide accurate job details, property access information, parking information and any known safety risks.
  4. Any estimate is approximate unless Kayo confirms a fixed quotation in writing.
  5. If extra work, hidden defects, unsafe conditions or incorrect information are found, the price and scope of work may change.
  6. A callout, diagnosis or inspection fee may be payable even if the repair cannot be completed on the first visit.
  7. For small jobs expected to be completed in one visit, cancellations made at least 48 hours before the appointment may be refunded, less any costs already incurred by Kayo.
  8. If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, after the engineer has been dispatched, or if access is not provided, Kayo may retain your deposit or cancellation fee and charge any reasonable additional costs.
  9. If work has already started, you must pay for work carried out, labour time used, materials ordered or used, and any reasonable costs already incurred.
  10. If you ask Kayo to start work during any 14-day cancellation period, you agree to pay for work already supplied if you later cancel. If the service is completed during that period at your request, your cancellation right may be lost.
  11. Payment may be required before attendance, on completion, in stages, or before certificates, reports, test results, warranties or completion documents are released.
  12. Kayo may withhold certificates, reports or documents where payment is outstanding or where there is an unresolved dispute, complaint, chargeback risk or investigation, except where release is required by law or regulation.
  13. Kayo provides a 12-month workmanship warranty on workmanship carried out by Kayo, subject to our full Customer Terms and Conditions.
  14. The warranty does not cover customer-supplied materials, pre-existing faults, manufacturer defects, misuse, accidental damage, lack of maintenance, third-party interference, wear and tear, or issues outside the agreed scope of work.
  15. If you believe there is a defect, you must give Kayo a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, put it right before instructing another contractor.
  16. You must not directly arrange work outside Kayo with any engineer or contractor introduced to you by Kayo for 12 months after the relevant introduction, quotation, visit or booking.
  17. Kayo may take and store photos, videos, notes, test results and job records for quoting, completing the job, quality control, compliance, evidence, complaints, insurance, debt recovery and record keeping.
  18. Kayo will process your personal data in line with its Privacy Policy.
  19. Kayo is not responsible for delays caused by access issues, unsafe conditions, traffic, weather, supplier delays, material shortages, emergencies or events outside its reasonable control.
  20. These booking terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
